The Bank of England (BoE) has raised its highest interest rate in the last decade from 0.1% to 0.25% and the property market is expected to take a huge hit.

An unusual move for the BoE to do this in December, as the interest rate has never hiked during Christmas since the creation of the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC), but more concerningly in relation to rates of borrowing for mortgages and businesses.
